10th place at Mizuno Junior in Innisbrook

This weekend I played my second AJGA in 2009. It was called Mizuno Junior at Innisbrook played in Tampa at the course called Copperhead, it is the same course as where Retief Goosen won the PGA Tournament on a few weeks ago.
It was a three day tournament played friday thru sunday. I arrived at Innisbrook on Thursday at noon to play my practice round which went just fine, I was trying to get used to the speed of the greens and figure out where to place the ball for the upcoming days.
Friday morning the tournament started and I was excited and ready to play, I struggled of the tee and hit only 5 fairways and 8 greens which made it quite hard to shoot under par so I ended up posting a round of +5 76 with a lot of scrambling ;)
The next two days of play was really the same story not feeling comfortable with the woods and long irons which caused me not to play up to my potential. I shot +2 73 the second day and +3 74 the third day which gave me a total of +10 thru three rounds and a tied for 10th place.
When I look back at how I played I am actually really proud of how well I held in there without showing any signs of weakness, having a great body language and keeping my head high. This was a good tournament where I had many hard shots from the trees, but most of them I pulled off in an excellent manor.

Next week I will be playing in the Terra Cotta Invitational which is an Amateur Tournament so all I have to do is straighten out my driver and then I will be flying to the top of the leaderboard :)
