Day 2 Challenge Tour

Yesterday was the second round of the Challenge Tour. I came out with a bad start with a bogie on hole 1 but I fought my way back to even through 3. I knew from the start that I had to go out there and shoot a low number but I never really got the momentum or the luck that I needed to. The final number came out to be a 73 +1 which gave me a total of 75 73 = 148 and tied for 91th which meant I missed the cut by 4. This was my first Challenge Tour event and it was awesome to experience unfortunately it didn't go as well as I hoped but it was a great opportunity to test myself against with the pro's. I learned a lot this week that I know I will be able to use in the future. My next event now is AJGA at Innisbrook its laying on April 9-12 so I have three weeks to prepare. Tomorrow I am leaving for home back to FL where I gotta get back and catch up in school.

Day 1 of Challenge Tour Event

Today was the first day of the Challenge Tour event that I am participating in. I teed off at 8.00 am of the 10th. I played decent from the start but my yardages into the greens were way off, I couldn't control the spin very well and that costed me several strokes during the round. Because of that I never got as many reasonable birdie putts as I wanted to. I ended up shooting +3 which was very disappointing and that puts me in 96th place, so therefore tomorrow has to be and different story. I am going to go out with the same attitude that I had today and keep working hard and hopefully it will be enough to put a good round together and at least make the cut. More news tomorrow!!!

Challenge Tour in Colombia..

I have now been in Colombia for two days and it is different but i like it :) I am here because I have gotten an invitation to play in the the first Challenge Tour of 2009 called the Bogota Open.
I arrived yesterday at noon, the weather has been about 65-70' and very comfortable to play golf in. Today I went to see the course which is only about 5 min away from the hotel and it was awesome. I played 9 holes on the course and it is very narrow but it is in a excellent shape. The tournament will be starting on thursday so I will have a couple of more practice rounds to get to know the course. I will give you an update after the first tournament round on thursday.
