Disapointing week at Thunderbird

This weekend I played Thunderbird (AJGA Invitational) in Arizona. The course was awesome and so was the surroundings, but my game was extremely poor I shot 78 81 76. I knew going in to the tournament that I wasn't going to perform even close to my potential like I have done at Polo and HP. These last two months have been a little hard for me because my coach (Gary Gilchrist) and I are doing some big changes in my swing, so unfortunately this might take some time, therefore the play is not at the best level right now neither is the confidence. We have discussed the issue wether to change it or not, but we both agree that it's better to change it now when I am young and it is easier so when I get to college I do not have to worry about it. I now have a little more than a year before I go to Oklahoma State so therefore I have a full year to get my swing in shape and it might take that long as well, but in the end I believe it will be for the best and it will be way more consistent.
My next event will be FootJoy Invitational that starts in a little less than two weeks. I have finals coming up this week so I will not be playing too much golf if even any. But then I have all of next week to work on the swing and figure out a way to place the ball in the fairway :) See you next time

Thunderbird coming up

It has now been three weeks since I played my last event. Thunderbird is my next event which starts next weekend on the 22-25th of May. It is an AJGA Invitational played in Arizona. The last couple of weeks I have been in technical mode meaning mostly working on my swing flaws and such. But now it is time for me to prepare more by playing and feeling around the greens so tomorrow I will be training more the way I like which is to play more golf and stay less time on the range. Over the last 3 weeks or so my swing has improved quite a lot and so now I just have to put it to use which is the fun part :) I'll let you all know more when I arrive next thursday!!! Bye for now.
